Silence the Violence Screening; 11am

Boys to Men, Family Matters’ teen boys’ program, produced and filmed a documentary called Silence the Violence about the realities of gun violence in Chicago. In the film, teens open up about their personal experiences of discrimination, and fear of police brutality; rather than listening to others speak about them, each young man shares his own thoughts and ideas on how to bring peace and change to his neighborhood and school.

We invite you to a screening and panel discussion on Saturday, January 28, 2018 at Centered Studios, 7009 N Glenwood; 11-1230 p.m. *If you are unable to sit on the floor, guests are welcome to bring a lawn or folding chair with them.

Join us to learn more about our mission of partnering with youth and families in Rogers Park to address and overcome structural racism and systemic oppression to build an equitable society.
