Annual Soup Swap, 6:30 pm
Hey, hey, hey! One of our most popular and treasured events is back. It’s officially that time of year: soup weather. Come on over to the studio with:
6 quarts of homemade soup
Soup can be frozen, refrigerated, or hot off the stove
Soup should be packaged in 6 separate + labeled 1-quart containers that you don't mind never seeing again
Is this your first swap? Make a double batch of your favorite soup to get close to the amount you need to swap.
If you’d like to bring a bottle to share, we won’t be mad at ya. We’ll also provide some light bites.
We'll nosh, drink, and chat while we swap away. You’ll leave with a freezer full of new, fresh, and homemade soup made by a friend - someone known or someone new!

Jordan Elementary Community Class, 4:30 pm
We’re excited to have the Jordan Elementary Team with us on January 23 for a free class led by Centered Studios Co-Owner Barrett Winston. Our amazing caregivers need care too, and we’re honored to be able to provide this service to the wonderful teachers in our Rogers Park neighborhood. Are you ready to start the new year with intention? Join trauma-informed yoga teacher Sam Kasmer for a calming and reflective evening of yoga, meditation, and journaling. This introspective, candle-lit workshop will provide you with an opportunity to release what no longer serves you and set intentions for the year ahead.
No prior yoga experience is required. All levels welcome!

As we transition into summer, lets celebrate the longest day of the year with a dynamic practice that pays homage to the sun's energy and invites balance and renewal into our lives. We will honor the summer with open hearts and 108 sun salutations, recommit to resolutions we might have made, and set good intentions for the season ahead.
This invigorating practice will be divided into nine sets of 12 sun salutations. Do as many or as few as you like, and feel free to make modifications and rest when needed. We will complete this beautiful practice with a well-deserved savasana.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Creative Hands Collective w/ Gretchen; 4 p.m.
Do you like to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, mend or sew? Have a project you've been working on for ages, or a new one you'd like to start? Gather with a welcoming community of artisans, where creativity intertwines with craftsmanship, as we share stories, exchange ideas, and celebrate the beauty of handmade creations.
Join us on April 30 for this free event at the studio. Bring your own projects. We have chairs available, but if you have a comfy camping or outdoor concert chair, bring it along.

60626 Neighborhood Clean Up; 3:30 p.m.
Throw on your old sneakers, grab a pair of gloves, dust off your trash grabber, bring a garbage bag + a friend [or three] and meet us at Centered Studios to do a little community clean up. If you think you're too small to make a difference, remember that one time you tried to fall asleep with a mosquito in the room - see you there!
BONUS: Everyone who shows up to help collect trash gets a free class loaded onto their MINDBODY account.

Feel the Love: Myofascial Release Workshop; 2 p.m.
Join Elsa Guenther for a self and/or partner Myofascial Release Workshop. Participants will learn and practice techniques to release their own fascial restrictions in commonly tense areas (as well as any areas requested from participants) and will learn a handful of partner releases.
Signing up with a partner is not required. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Sound Journey; 630 p.m.
Join singer-songwriter, song leader, and certified yoga teacher Leah Shoshanah for an intimate musical experience of connection and healing. This offering will feature Leah's original music on voice and guitar, group singing, and improvised loop pedal 'song-scapes'. Enjoy curated tea blends from herbalist Caroline Sufrin during the event as well.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring something to sit on [a pillow or a chair]. Yoga mats, bolsters, and blankets will also be available for use.
